Project Life: Week 28

Week 28 (July 8 – July 14)

I’m finally caught up! If you click on the pictures they should open slightly larger to read the text, should you be interested. IMG_6283_edited-1

What happened this week: Pretty much nothing and it was amazing. Greg traveled this week, Talia and I took the doodle on a five mile walk one night, and we had a very low key weekend with just a few plans. For my phone photography class, I looked for all the colors of the rainbow in flowers while I walked to a massage appointment one night.

The highlight of the week was the birth of Miss Sloane Harper Kozlowski on the morning of the 9th. I have a 5×7 insert saved in this week to include her birth announcement. Your BFF having her first baby requires more than just a photo square, it definitely calls for an insert.

Photography: I finally used my DSLR for a few photos this week, but mostly iPhone as usual. I took all the photos. IMG_6288_edited-1

Out of the norm: I was inspired by an Instgramer (@trishaharrison) who posts her weekly spreads. I’ve been struggling with how to caption photos without using a bunch of journaling cards. She seemed to have the perfect solution – some type of label stickers used on the pictures. I don’t know exactly what she uses, but I just cut down while address labels I found in my desk. I love it! Just need to work on putting them on a little straighter next time. I also stamped on paper with my I LOVE stamp and wrote the first things that came to mind. (I wrote them in random squares, so there is no order to the things I love here.)IMG_6289_edited-1

Supplies used: Seafoam project life kit; Elise Joy I LOVE stamp; the Makes Me Smile card is from the Studio Calico July kit.
