I turned the corner on my soda addiction. First, I made it one week without indulging in either the regular or diet variety. (Sometimes, prior to the last seven days, I would rationalize to myself why one of them is better than the other in order to not feel so guilty for drinking it.) Secondly, I am not even really craving it anymore. For someone who used to plan her afternoons around when I would have my “splurge”, this is huge. I’ve turned to fizzy water a few times when I’ve wanted something in the afternoon, but otherwise I just drink plain water, a little tea, and a glass of wine here or there. Yes, you noticed t here is no coffee in that list. Not only have I kicked my soda habit, but I am now caffeine-free as well! I’ll be back tomorrow with an update on my first batch of broth. It turned out great, but it’s been a busy week and I haven’t had time to post about it.
