I think I might be coming out of my carb and sugar laden binge of last week. I wasn’t perfect this weekend, but I did manage to have a few relatively good meals.
For breakfast I made two eggs topped with a hot salsa from the Farmers Market. I had a side of jalapeno sauerkraut , a side of sauted spinach, and a cup of decaf black of coffee. There wasn’t nearly enough fat and I was pretty hungry within an hour or two.
After breakfast the day quickly went downhill. I won’t bother going into what it all involved, but sufice it to say I did not feel good in any way, physically or emotionally. Out of the blue though, both the love and the bestie IM’d me to tell me that they wanted to get more serious about paleo. That gave me the inspiration and motivation I needed to get back on track.
On the way home from work I stopped by Whole Foods (I find it the most stressful place on Earth) to pick up a few groceries so I can eat clean the rest of the week. I am trying to come up with a plan for how to eat clean on our trip as well. I know I’ll feel better and enjoy it more, I just need to work on my self-control.
For dinner I enjoyed my usual Taco Tuesday, paleo style. I cooked and seasoned grass fed ground beef, served over lettuce, and topped with half an avocado, hot salsa, lime juice, and chopped fresh cilantro.
